Wal-Mart Supercenters Present $300,521 to Children's Miracle Network
El Paso Children's Hospital received a generous holiday gift from Wal-Mart Supercenters during a check presentation on December 15 in the amount of $300,521.66 for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) to benefit sick and injured kids. Each dollar donated was raised $1 at a time through Wal-Mart’s Miracle Balloon Campaign that ran for six weeks.
“These funds will be used to purchase life-saving equipment and to fund critical research at El Paso Children’s Hospital,” states Alexa Velazquez, Program Manager for CMN. “Our dear associates at Wal-Mart are like family to us. They have supported us at almost every fundraising event and they have donated the most money to our organization as well as time and effort. All of this is priceless to us,” adds Velazquez.
In conjunction with the check presentation, Children’s Miracle Network's Advisory Council presented an award to the 7555 North Mesa Wal-Mart location for being - once again - the top fundraising store in the Nation. Velazquez presented a shadowbox in appreciation to all of the stores that exceeded their fundraising goals from last year.
Children’s Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping sick and injured children by raising funds for El Paso Children’s Hospital.
All of the funds raised in El Paso stay in El Paso to help local children.
