El Paso Children's Hospital Foundation Volunteer Corps powers the activities, events, and programs of the Foundation that promote the health, wellness, and quality of life for all El Paso children. EPCH Foundation strives to provide all interested volunteers opportunities for meaningful service that fit a wide range of skill sets and time availability.

Qualifications for El Paso Children's Hospital Volunteers

Are you at least 18 years or older?

Would you be able to commit to volunteering a minimum of 100 hours over a period of 4 months?

Would you be available to volunteer at least one 4-5 hour volunteer shift per week?

  • Criminal Background Check
  • Health Screening (Includes TB testing and verification of required vaccinations)
  • Drug Testing

Volunteers are placed according to hospital needs and your availability. We will do our best to accommodate your interest areas.

Volunteers are required to commit to 100 hours of service over 4 months.

Volunteers are expected to work at least 4-5 hours each time they volunteer.

* El Paso Children's Hospital volunteers are not able to shadow nurses, doctors or other clinical staff. Further, volunteers may not observe or perform clinical procedures. Volunteers are not paid for their services or given special consideration for employment at El Paso Children's Hospital.

Have you ever pled guilty, no contest ("nolo contender"), entered into a deferred adjudication, been convicted of a crime (other than a minor traffic offense) which has not been removed/dismissed by the Court, been the subject of a permanent or temporary restraining order, or do you have any matters pending with any court?

Have you ever performed mandated community service work?

A conviction record will not necessarily be a bar to selection as a volunteer. This information will be used only for volunteer related purposes and only the the extent permitted by the law.
