Children's Miracle Network Receives $2,000 From El Paso Corvette Club
El Paso Corvette Club just made a big difference for sick and injured kids at El Paso Children’s Hospital. They donated $2,000 to children’s Miracle Network. The money came from the proceeds generated in their most recent car show they hosted in Mission Chevrolet.
Alexa Velazquez, Program Manager for Children’s Miracle Network received the check. “We are very grateful to the El Paso Corvette Club for designating Children’s Miracle Network as their charity during their event. We will use this money towards acquiring life-saving equipment, family support services and medical research in El Paso Children’s Hospital.”
Alexa was accompanied by five year old Brianna Murga, the Children’s Miracle Network’s miracle child 2015 and her father Luis Murga. Brianna met and greeted the member of the El Paso Corvette Club.
“Every member of the El Paso corvette Club love is a parent, and we drive very expensive Corvettes; but we don’t just drive them, we use them to create something positive for the community, in this case, these cars have raised funds to help the kids. And we enjoyed that,” said Lou Avalos, president of the El Paso Corvette Club.
At the end of this check presentation, a member of the Corvette Club decided to donate money to CMN personally.
