El Paso Children's Hospital Lifts Spirits On Halloween

El Paso, Tx. (October 31, 2014) While many kids were preparing for Halloween, some were spending their day in a hospital room.

That is why El Paso Children’s Hospital treated their pediatric patients to an in-house trick or treat celebration.

Thanks to Children’s Miracle Network and Local Wal-Mart stores, El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation donated costumes and accessories from infant to adolescent so every child in El Paso Children’s Hospital could take part in the Halloween festivities.

Doctors, nurses and staff swapped their lab coats and scrubs for superheroes costumes and a full cast of characters to hand out Halloween favors to their young patients as they filled the hallways for a Halloween parade.

11 volunteers from the UMC Foundation Volunteer Corps helped in the reverse trick or treating activities, sorting costumes for patients, directing traffic, and other fun Halloween activities.
