The Second Annual Art from the Heart event, hosted by La Viña Winery in Chamberino, New Mexico, brought the community together for a day of creativity, family fun, and heartfelt support. Organized by the El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation (EPCHF), the event aimed to raise funds and awareness for the Children’s Healing Arts Program at El Paso Children’s Hospital, which helps young patients use creativity and self-expression to better cope with their illnesses.
Guests were welcomed to the free-admission event, with donations encouraged to support the vital program. The day featured a variety of booths with games and prizes for children, including ring toss, mini-bowling, and face painting, adding joy and excitement to the experience. Local food trucks offered an array of delicious food options, while live music provided the perfect backdrop for the festive atmosphere.
The event also highlighted the artistic talents of the children in the program, showcasing children’s art prints and collectibles available for purchase. A special art auction served as the centerpiece of the event, allowing attendees to bid on heartfelt pieces created by the young artists.
The Children’s Healing Arts Program is an integral part of the pediatric care continuum at El Paso Children’s Hospital, significantly enhancing the lives of children and their families by making their hospital experience less stressful. The program supports children undergoing treatment for cancer and other illnesses by helping them express their creativity during challenging times.
With its vibrant mix of art, entertainment, and community spirit, the Art from the Heart event was a powerful reminder of the healing power of creativity and the collective impact of community support for such a meaningful cause.
