El Paso's art lovers gathered for an unforgettable evening at Blooms & Brushstrokes, an exclusive art auction that blended cultural elegance with a meaningful cause. Held in the heart of the city, the event showcased breathtaking original works from renowned artists, including Francisco Romero, Daniel Padilla, Chris Ibarra, Salud Carrillo, Berenice Perea, Sergio Quiz, Mario Ulloa, Gabriel Marquez, and Paul Telles.
Beyond its artistic splendor, Blooms & Brushstrokes served a greater purpose supporting the El Paso Children's Hospital Foundation's Healing Arts Program. This initiative brings the power of artistic expression to young patients, enhancing their emotional well-being through creativity and therapy.
Attendees had the rare opportunity to meet the featured artists in person, gaining insight into their creative process while engaging in an evening of philanthropy. With a shared passion for both the arts and community impact, guests came together to contribute to a cause that directly benefits the next generation.

Established by Joe Paredes on November 1, 1992, The Art and Framing Gallery has played a vital role in El Paso’s cultural landscape. Having served El Paso for over 32 years, The Art and Framing Gallery is the longest-running gallery in West El Paso. Beyond showcasing local talent, the gallery specializes in custom framing services.

Chris Ibarra is an artist from El Paso, Texas, known for his vibrant and engaging artwork. His pieces often reflect the rich cultural heritage and dynamic spirit of the El Paso community. Chris’ work spans various mediums, including murals, paintings, and digital art, showcasing his versatility and creativity. He is active on social media, sharing his latest projects and interacting with his audience. Chris’ art has gained recognition for its bold use of color and intricate designs, making him a notable figure in the local art scene.
Gabriel Marquez is an artist from El Paso who returned to his hometown in 2019 after living in Seattle. His goal is to positively impact his community through art. As a mural artist and designer, Gabriel is actively involved in the local arts scene. His murals can be found at locations like Savage Goods, Mas Y Menos, and the Boys and Girls Club of El Paso. His paintings are also displayed at Taconeta, Joe Vinny Bronsons, Chilabox, and Beans and Bouquets. Gabriel owns Mystic Desert Studio, an art gallery where he showcases his work and the talents of emerging and established artists in El Paso. The gallery aims to raise awareness of local creativity and provide a space for artists to curate and exhibit their art. Gabriel graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2012 with a BFA in Studio Art, double majoring in Painting and Graphic Design.
Francisco Romero grew up in a close-knit family that nurtured his passion for the visual arts. Drawing inspiration from artists like Botero and Diego Rivera, Francisco’s paintings are characterized by their vibrant and bold colors. His work has been showcased throughout the Southwest, in cities such as Tucson, Scottsdale, and Sedona, as well as internationally in Japan, Spain, Israel, Argentina, Chile, Germany, Canada, and Austria. Francisco’s unique style incorporates beloved elements like Mexican sweetbread, butterflies, and desert landscapes, evoking feelings of nostalgia and joy.
